Rich Parent is a former NHL hockey goaltender, a passionate and caring husband and father of 4, and an animated, game relevant hockey coach.
His 15 years in playing Professional hockey resulted in him playing for teams such as the St-Louis Blues, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Pittsburgh Penguins.
His career also brought him abroad to play in the Top German Elite league (DEL) for 5 years.
Prior to joining the NHL rankings, he led the IHL Detroit Vipers and won the Turner Cup Championship. He set a league playoff record for Goals Against Average and Save percentage that year.
In 2006, Parent took his 300+ NHL game presence which includes over 30 games played and 1000 total professional game experience into the hockey development world.
For the past 15+ years, he has helped and influenced young developing Hockey players throughout several minor hockey associations, Junior and Pro level in Canada and the U.S.A.
As a trusted partner, he joined Hockey Canada and the Montreal Canadiens in delivering development camps.
Presently works with Grow the game initiative with Tampa Bay Lightning as an alumni.
In the last 6 years, has been involved with the NAHL Shreveport Mudbugs organization as a Coaching consultant, Goalie Coach, and Associate Head Coach. He won the National Championship in 2018 and 2021.
As a professional athlete, Rich Parent followed his passion and accomplished his lifetime dream when he became a professional hockey player for the National Hockey League (NHL)
His vision is to inspire junior and pro players to reach their untapped potential, through game relevant knowledge, and practice. So, they, in turn, can achieve their own sets of goals and dreams.
